South African Craft About page
This is jewellery made by women from Zulu tribes in Durban, but with a contemporary touch. I also have some beaded animals.
Story:
Back in the days we started a little business based on South African Jewellery and art. We planned it and moved to Spain in the mean time. We paused it for a few reasons, customs delays in Spain, Administrative costs. Also getting online traffic was hard and expensive and I am a value investor, I don’t want to buy traffic from Google and Facebook no! We made a website, participated in a outdoor market which was a good success, but with covid it stopped. The website was taken down (costs for ecommerce). As I am not a Masa Son I did not want to pay for growth with my capital.
Now that I have some audience on substack and still have some stock, I will share some of these on here. I will never send you emails about items, this substack is about stocks. I may only drop a link or put a picture here and there, the same way I already put one or two photos of locations I go to in my member area actually.
I am not putting a website back up (time consuming with stock management). I can ship some of those but mostly in the EU and Spain, because after that, it’s expensive and it’s better to get a large order. If you like this kind of craft, you could also find e-commerce resellers based in the USA that sell similar craft with lower shipping costs.
Google drive item photos (some already sold, just ask) Let me know if you are interested in an item.
Hey maybe if my stock gets sold out, I will buy more during my next trip!
